袁老就我们中国农业问题提出了以下几点看法：

一、几十年来在农业上的研究，在科学上并没有重大的突破，农业科技是落后于发达国家的。

二、在农业基础建设上也没有巨额的投资，农业发展缓慢甚至退步。

Second, there is no huge investment in agricultural infrastructure, and agricultural development is slow or even retrogressive.  

三、中国的农业人员都是父老农民，农业也随着农民的老化而老化。

Third, China’s agricultural personnel are all old farmers, and agriculture is aging with the aging of farmers.

四、最担心的是年轻人已经不种地了，科技化的农业在国内还没有普及，如果年轻人对农业没有兴趣，以后怎么办？
