CWU Graduate Won Another Honorable Mention at 31th Han Suyin International Translation Contest
“The 31st Han Suyin International Translation Contest” is jointly sponsored by the Translators Association of China, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Fujian Normal University. The Contest includes two-way translations between Chinese and the five foreign languages of English, French, Russian, Spanish and Arabic, which add up to ten events in all. According to the organizers, a total of 11,898 valid translations were received, among which 6,826 were English-Chinese versions. The judges carried out three rounds of strict assessment and review on the submissions before winding up the event with one first prize, 15 second prizes, 30 third prizes and 124 honorable mentions. The source text of English-Chinese event this year is titled “Outing A.I.: Beyond the Turing Test”.
