1.black
①very dirty; covered with dirt.
很脏的;布满污垢的:
chimneys black with smoke
②full of anger or hatred
愤怒的;仇恨的:
She shot her a black look.
③without hope; very depressing
无希望的;令人沮丧的:
The future looks pretty black.
④(literary) evil or immoral
邪恶的;不道德的:
black deeds / lies
 
2.pure
①complete and total
完全的;纯粹的:
They met by pure chance.
②[only before noun] concerned within creasing knowledge of the subject rather than with using knowledge impractical ways

technology as opposed to pure science subjects
 
3.lazy
①(disapproving) showing a lack of effort or care

①the front [sing.] (BrE) the road or area of land along the edge of the sea, a lake or a river.

③[sing.] behaviour that is not genuine, donein order to hide your true feelings or opinions

①an activity, a job, an interest, etc. that is thought to be suitable for one particular person or group of people

②[C, usually pl., U] a type of jam made by boiling fruit with a large amount of sugar

③used to describe a person, a team or ahorse, etc. finishing in a particular position in a race

7.issue
①(law 律) children of your own
子女;后嗣:
He died without issue.
 
8.shout
①[verb](AustralE, NZE) to buy drinks or food for sb in a bar, restaurant, etc.
 (在酒吧、餐厅等)请人喝饮料(或吃东西):
I'll shout—whatare you drinking?
②[noun](BrE, informal) a person's turn tobuy drinks
轮到某人请客(喝饮料):
What are you drinking? It's my shout.
 
9.miserable
①[only before noun] (disapproving) (of a person 人) always unhappy, bad-tempered andunfriendly
乖戾的;脾气严峻【SYN】 grumpy :
He was a miserable old devil.
②too small in quantity
太少的;少得可怜的【SYN】 paltry :
How can anyone live on such amiserable wage?
 
10.knot
①a small group of people standing closetogether
