CWU Applauds 4 ‘National Social Science Fund’ Programs in 2015
The programs that will be sponsored this year by the National Social Science Fund were recently announced, four of which are initiatives by professors from China Women’s University (CWU).
The four selected CWU programs are: “Research on Sexual Harassment Prevention Mechanism in Universities”, guided by Professor Lin Jianjun, from the School of Law; the “Study on Situations of Impoverished Female Students in Universities and Social Support”, led by professor Shi Tong, from the School of Gender and Social Development; “A Comparative Study on Han and Tibetan Buddhist Novels”, started by Associate Professor Song Kejun, from the Department of International Chinese Education; and “A Comparative Phonosemantics Study on Tripitaka Classics ‘Si Xi Zang’ and ‘Qi Sha Zang’”, initiated by Associate Professor Tan Cui, from the Department of International Chinese Education.
In recent years, CWU staff have taken active part in applying for scientific programs, with the number of applications and approvals on the rise each time. So far, CWU teachers have undertaken 11 programs sponsored by the National Social Science Fund, with four approved this year, the highest number in the recent past. Through the common efforts of all its teachers, CWU will make full use of its advantages and conduct more explorations on the frontiers of research, so as to initiate programs of even higher levels.
