CWU Staff Undertakes Education Research and Inverstigation in Hunan
Li Mingshun, professor and Chairperson of CWU University Council, led a delegation of 13 staff members to go to Central South University, Hunan Women’s University and the Employment Guidance Center for graduates in central China's Hunan Province on April 20 and 21, 2015. They conducted a 2 days education research and investigation in Hunan in order to tighten the links with other members of the League of Chinese Women Colleges founded in October, 2014, and to study and learn from the advanced working experiences of other universities about how to carry out successfully the tasks of graduates employment or their self-employment, and how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of university operation.
The delegation went to Central South University on the morning of April 20. Hu Yuehua, the university vice-president; Yang Fang, the office director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and other members of the Central South University’s administration attended the event. Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Hu Yuehua. They carefully listened to his report on the progress in entrepreneurship education innovation taken in Central South Universityand shared with him CWU's experiences with respect to talent cultivation in higher education, teaching reform and the innovation of entrepreneurship education. The delegation also exchanged with Central South University the entrepreneurship and innovation education experiences and yields of each other , including the strategies of development, the achievements, as well as the challenges in practice.
On the afternoon the same day, the delegation went to Hunan Women’s University. Luo Ting, , the chairperson of the university council along with vice-presidents He Jiangping and Zhou Meilin, received delegation. At the meeting, both sides gave introductory overviews of their respective current state of affairs in enrollment, employment, entrepreneurship and student management, and held deep discussions across a number of topics. Afterward, the research team visited the exhibition hall — which displays all of the achievements of Hunan Women’s University — as well as the pavilion of women’s education and developmental history and numerous other sites on campus.
On April 21, the delegation went to the Hunan Graduates’ Employment Guidance Center, where they visited the “Ladies’ Café.” a student enterpreneurship innovative program. The delegation also had a deep conversation with the person in charge of the Center and the student owner of the "Ladies' Cafe"; on their effective management and operation methods and experienced the special atmosphere at the “ Ladiness Culture” of the Cafe.
